This Wednesday through Saturday (Oct 25-28), the Main Stage Production of William Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew premieres. Twenty-four talented thespians have been working hard for months to produce this play, which takes place in a modern setting with the original Shakespearean language.

Here is the plot…Set in the country western town of Padua (somewhere in the Midwest), Baptista Minola (owner of Baptista’s Beauty Emporium) cannot let anyone  marry her lovely daughter Bianca (Claire Quillen) until her oldest daughter Katherine (Megan Canchola), who is quite a shrew (cruel, mean person), is married off.  Enter Petruchio (Kellen Moran,) a recording artist with Verona Records who is pretty sure he can tame her.

Opening Night is Wednesday, October 25 at 7:00 PM in the Woodcreek Theatre.  Additional performances are October 26, 27 and 28 at 7 PM. Tickets are $10 online, at the attendance office or at the door.  Doors open at 6:30 PM.
