On May 19th and 20th, Woodcreek High School Performing Arts Department presented their Spring Concert for 2015. The concert was jazzed up by Woodcreek’s Jazz Ensemble’s in the beginning to wake up the audience. They played five songs including “Uptown Stomp”, leading up to the concert and chamber choir.

The Concert Choir started with “Adiemus” by Karl Jenkins and ended with the powerful “Keep Your Lamps” by Victor C. Johnson. The Chamber Choir started off with a song by Ruth M. Gray based off of Edgar Allen Poe’s poem “Dream within a dream” and finished off with Home by Stephen Feigenbaum. The one solo out of the concert was sung by Woodcreek sophomore Abigail Brown in “Goin’ to the Holy City” by Joseph M. Martin.

The choir used Russian Lyrics to give the concert a little twist. The audience loved it. For the very last song of the night, band played an ensemble by James Swearingen called “The Light Eternal” that choir joined in singing. The audience applauded with enthusiasm as they finished their last performance of the 2015 Spring Concert.
