Last week, an amazing convention was held at the Sacramento Convention Center; SacAnime! A three day event for many anime fans. Many of our fellow classmates also attended the event. SacAnime can be enjoyed by all; you don’t have to be an anime nerd to attend. There were many vendors and artists who weren’t just selling anime-themed items but also merch from indie games or TV shows. Undertale, Steven Universe, and Five Nights at Freddy’s were just some of the few that made an appearance at this event. Cosplayers and groups made an appearance as well! Whether it just be for fun or for photo shoots, cosplayers were pretty much everywhere. But you could dress up as yourself and enjoy the event just as much as anyone else.

Many talented artists and inexpensive vendors in the exhibit halls were much of the main events followed by the panels and cosplay photo shoots. If you were ever to attend, you should bring lots of cash on you. A lot of the vendors at the convention can trigger shopping sprees all over. Quite a few of the attendees left the event with a lot of bags filled with fantastic merchandise.

But if buying merch isn’t your style there was also autograph sessions! A good chunk of famous voice actors, animators, and even guests directly from Japan could be found at the event. Sam Riegel, J. Michael Tatum, Brina Palencia, Wendee Lee, Makoshi, and Toshio Maeda, just to name a few. Many of the autographs were free if you were willing to wait in the long lines.

All in all, there was so much to see and do at SacAnime. Autographs, cosplays, merch, games, and more could be done there in the Sacramento Convention Center. If you want to check it out or attend the next SacAnime which will be at the same location Jan 6-8 2017, click on this link: http://www.sacanime.com/  It’s cheaper to buy tickets now then up front at the doors which can be around $40 just for one day
